Bible Study is important to our life. On Tuesday mornings, a study group meets regularly at the church. A women's  study group meets on Wednesday mornings in the homes of the members. Adult groups meet for 4-6 week sessions during evenings throughout the year.

Prayer and Healing is an important part of our ministry at Grace.  A prayer group meets weekly to pray for the people of Grace, of the community and the needs of the world.  A small Reike group offers hands on healing as requested.  Healing services are held regularly.

Women's Groups are active at Grace United Church. The United Church Women (UCW) have 2 units that meet monthly in the afternoons. The Gracies meet monthly in the evening for a time of fellowship. These groups together host an annual craft sale in November that has become a popular Christmas gift . Several women meet monthly for a Women's Night Out. They enjoy the company of supportive friends over a meal at a local restaurant. A women's study group meets weekly on Wednesday mornings to read and discuss the works of current liberal theological and biblical scholars. Ada's Angels is a support group for widows, and meets for lunch once a month.

The Men's Group meets monthly for an outing or a speaker of interest to today's men. They host a yearly golf tournament in September to raise money for our Outreach Ministries. Several of the men enjoy each other's fellowship and provide a meaningful service to the church by volunteering their time and skills to keep our historic building in good repair.

Outreach Ministries have always made our church popular. Currently we host a breakfast program that invites any who wish to come to join us for a hot breakfast every Monday morning from 8:00 to 10:00. We serve between 50 and 70 people each week who come not only for a nutritious meal but also to find a warm welcome and supportive friends to start what for many will be a difficult day. On Tuesday mornings from 10:00 - 11:30 our Food Bank offers food and some clothing to individuals and families that are in need. Up to 30 adults and 25 children are served each week. We also host soup luncheons after church monthly to raise awareness and funds for people in need further away from us. Recent luncheons have helped us respond to the AIDS crisis in Africa and support our national Mission Fund.

Children and Youth have special programs available to them on Sunday morning. Our youngest members (up to aged 2) are cared for by an experienced nursery coordinator and adult volunteers. In our newly renovated, bright and clean nursery they enjoy clean, safe toys, story times and games or a quite rock or cuddle. Older children engage in more structured, active sessions that help them learn about themselves, each other, Jesus and God's will for their lives. Stories, games, crafts, drama and music are all used in their explorations. High school aged youth gather each week for discussions of their faith and life. They choose their own issues to explore with caring adults. Special activities such as youth retreats, pageants, seasonal celebrations, picnics and outings are also arranged.

Adult programs include membership classes, seminars for new parents, and short term study series that deal with current faith issues. Adults looking for fun and fellowship gather monthly on Friday evenings to engage in a variety of activities that have included mystery dinners, speakers, local tours, card parties and lots of great food. This group calls itself Tri-M and welcomes all adults regardless of age or stage of life.

A variety of groups meet regularly at Grace, some weekly, some monthly. Everyone is welcome to come and participate in one or more of these group experiences whether or not you are a member of Grace United. Call the church office for more information about any of these groups and we will put you in contact with a group organizer. Volunteers for our Outreach Ministries are always welcome.
